Mark Merlis is the author of three novels: American Studies, An Arrow’s Flight, and Man About Town. His work has won the Los Angeles Times book prize (Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction), the Lambda Literary Award, and the Ferro-Grumley award for distinction in gay writing. He is also an independent health policy analyst, writing papers on Medicare, health reform, and other issues for organizations such as AARP and the American Cancer Society. He lives in Philadelphia with his partner of thirty years, Bob.
