Adrienne Jacaruso was awarded a CompLit Academic Term Internship Fellowship for Winter 2020 at the LSA Language Resource Center. As an intern she maintained the Language Bank, collecting translation projects from community partners and connecting them with volunteer translators. She also assisted in planning and running workshops for instructors and students on collaborative translation and transcription projects, including the Yale Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies, and she developed materials for the pedagogical use of translation in the classroom.
She enjoyed “making use of my experience as a language learner and teacher, and connecting the UM community with the LRC.”
