Supporting Undergraduate Opportunities
An important part of the Weinberg Institute’s mission is to foster innovative collaborations that bring students together with internationally renowned faculty in the shared pursuit of a deeper understanding of the mind.
The Institute provides opportunities for undergraduate cognitive science majors to enhance their academic experience through student research and academic initiatives.
Facilitating attendance at academic conferences is one of the ways this is accomplished. Cognitive Science students Vivienne Chi, Anne Lin, and Nicholas Hollman (pictured) attended the Cognitive Science Society annual conference in Madison, Wisconsin, in July.
"Attending the Cognitive Science Society conference was an awesome opportunity to see the latest in cognitive science research," says Nick. "Hearing from some of the biggest names in the cognitive science community on topics ranging from linguistics to decision modeling to AI was both an inspiring and memorable experience."
