Nicté is a mammalogist and Latin American scientist. Her current research involves the study of Cricetid rodents and their pathogens in montane Neotropical Forests and agricultural monocultures. In collaboration with the Speer Lab, she is documenting, for the first time, the pathogen community associated with mammals in vulnerable Central American cloud forests.
