About
Jack is an undergraduate student studying the prevalence and evolutionary history of bacterial and fungal pathogens in Michigan bats. His research involves screening big brown bats (Eptesicus fuscus) for fungal and bacterial pathogens with implications for bat conservation and human health. Jack is developing new protocols for studying these pathogens from degraded samples in partnership with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
