If a student has not registered for the term, they do not need to do anything as they are disenrolling by not registering. There are no formal “withdrawal” or “leave of absence” procedures. If the student leaves in good academic standing, they are eligible for readmission at any time.
If a student has registered for the term, they may disenroll by dropping all courses in Wolverine Access. Students may also disenroll by contacting the Office of the Registrar. E-mail the request to wolverineservices@umich.edu (please include full name, id number and term). Students must do this before the first day of classes to avoid being charged any tuition or fees.
