Join three leading U-M scholars as they share their perspectives on "Antigone," in conjunction with Ivo van Hove's production, translated by Anne Carson, presented by UMS and starring Juliette Binoche, playing in the Power Center (October 14-17).
The panel will feature Yopie Prins (Comparative Literature), Ruth Scodel (Classical Studies) and Martin Walsh (Residential College), and a member of the cast (Kirsty Bushell, playing the role of Ismene/Chorus) as they share their perspectives on how this famous Greek tragedy by Sophocles has been received, produced, and taught over thousands of years and countless translations and adaptations.
Free and open to the public.
