Nam Center faculty Jaeeun Kim's book recognized by the American Sociological Association
Congratulations to Nam Center core faculty member, Jaeeun Kim, Korea Foundation Assistant Professor in Sociology, whose book Contested Embrace: Transborder Membership Politics in Twentieth-Century Korea (Stanford University Press, 2016) received two American Sociological Association book prizes:
- 2017 Thomas and Znaniecki Distinguished Book Award, from the International Migration Section
- 2017 Asian and Transnational Studies Book Award, from the Asia/Asian American Section
Prof. Kim will be talking about her book as the first lecture in this year's Nam Center Colloquium Series on Sept 27.
