The award recognizes her hard work and academic, professional, and personal achievements which exemplify the ideals of the Society’s namesake, Dr. Edward Alexander Bouchet, in the core areas of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Service, and Advocacy.

By virtue of this honor she will become part of a national network of scholars that are setting the pace for the central roles of diversity, excellence, and innovation in graduate education.
