Dr. Porteux (Political Science) recently moved from Tokyo to Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan, for a tenured position, where he teaches comparative politics and International Relations to both domestic, Japanese students, and those involved in the large study abroad program.

In addition to his journal publications, he has an on-going book project which explores the inter-play between violence and democracy, in the East Asian context.
