September 27-30 | Various locations in Detroit and Ann Arbor
A four-day series of public talks, workshops, and exhibitions dedicated to showcasing collaborations between community-building groups in Detroit and analogous initiatives in the shrinking communities of northeastern Japan that were impacted by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Topics will include entrepreneurial agriculture, the maker movement, community design, vacant real estate, and youth IT education.
Free and open to the public. Registration via EventBrite required for select events.
Transportation
Transportation between Ann Arbor and Detroit provided for select events. If you plan on attending the conference all-day Friday 9/29 and/or Saturday 9/30, please submit your transportation request here.
We recommend that Ann Arbor-based attendees use the U-M Detroit Connector to attend events based in downtown and midtown Detroit.
