Dr. Pinderjeet Gill has been selected as the recipient of the 31st Golden Apple Award. The award, which "honors teachers who consistently teach as if each lecture were their last," is the only one to be given by the students themselves. The surprise announcement was made on Monday, April 12 when a Golden Apple Committee representative, Emily McCann, hopped on Zoom to surprise Dr. Gill during her second-year Punjabi class. The event was attended by all the ALC staff and most of the LRC team along with many ALC culture and language faculty.
A dedicated teacher, Dr. Gill has been teaching Hindi and Punjabi language courses at U-M since 2005.
Congratulations, Dr. Gill!
