Doctoral Student in Asian Languages and Cultures
About
The road to my current study of South Asia began as an oral historian with The 1947 Partition Archive, recording the life stories of the Partition survivors. This experience, simultaneously with my time as an RA with Oxford University working on gender and policing in India, made me acutely aware of the state-building process in post-conflict society- a theme I want to explore during my study at University of Michigan.
I have obtained a BA (hons) political science from Jesus and Mary College and an MA in political science from University of Delhi.
My broader research themes include anthropology, history, India, ethnic conflict, state-society relationship.
