Professor Barry Carr from Latrobe University, Australia

LACS presents a talk by Professor Barry Carr from Latrobe University, Australia (currently a visiting professor at Fordham): “Rebels, Revolutionaries and Exiles in New York, Mexico and Havana: Tracing the Transnational Networks and Diasporas of Activists in the Greater Circum-Caribbean 1918-1940.” Professor Carr will present a paper on a new project about Latin American and Caribbean radicals living in the US between the world wars.  Professor Carr has written extensively on the history of Communism and the left in Cuba and Mexico.
