This year, we will celebrate the 11th Annual Alumni Weekend!
Alumni Weekend was created by the WISE RP in 2015 as a flagship experience and true cornerstone of our program. From the beginning, it has served as a catalyst for building self-efficacy for women in STEM by connecting students with the hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world stories that help shape their confidence and sense of belonging in STEM fields, similar to the program overall.
Student development research makes it clear: our growth is shaped by both direct experiences (eg. workshops, conferences, and problem-solving spaces) and vicarious ones (like hearing from someone who has walked a path that looks like yours). Alumni Weekend brings all of that together.
