The Bird Division maintains a collection of field notes, expedition records, bird sightings, and catalogs from curators, graduate students, and Michigan ornithologists. These contain information from many countries and various states on specimens in our collection and the circumstances of their collection, on species observed during expeditions, records of birds banded and observational records from Michigan, and other similar records.
