Spring-Summer 2022 Internship - Detroit Observatory
As an intern at the Detroit Observatory, I have had the privilege to be a part of the reopening and revival of one of the most interesting historic buildings on campus. We have all been retelling many parts of the observatory's history while uncovering new pieces. I conduct research with the goal of condensing it into comprehensive presentations for our public events. These have been focused on a variety of topics bus most of my work is centered on the architectural history of the building itself. This involves a lot of digging (or clicking) through the archives and examining historic books, notes, and photographs. I love having the chance to share my work with others because it's something that I care about. It is always nice knowing that my passion is evident when I present and share the findings with out visitors.
