Research Interests: Theory and Applications for Topological Data Analysis and Computational Topology. Reeb graphs, Statistical Methods and Stability of Mapper graphs, Inference and Migration models for Population biology, Explainability of Neural Networks, Clustering algorithms, Dynamical Systems.
I am a mathematician interested in developing novel techniques in topological data analysis (TDA) for applications in population biology, machine learning, and network science. My dissertation focused on optimization and new visualization for the Mapper algorithm with applications in earthquake science, and machine learning. While in my Ph.D. I also worked on research in population biology and inference methods for ancestral recombination graphs (ARGs). My current research interests include: Theory and Applications for Topological Data Analysis and Computational Topology. Reeb graphs, Statistical Methods and Stability of Mapper graphs, Inference and Migration models for Population biology, Explainability of Neural Networks, Clustering algorithms, Dynamical Systems. As a Van Loo Fellow, I will be working with Dr. Gideon Bradburd in EEB in creating models studying human migration using ARGs and TDA.
