The Neuroscience Undergraduate Program at The Ohio State University invites you and your students to attend the Midwest Great Lakes Undergraduate Research Symposium (mGluRs) in neuroscience that we will be hosting on October 3rd, 2015. This event will be a showcase for undergraduates to present their research and gain valuable feedback from faculty, graduate students, and their fellow undergraduates on their techniques and presentation skills. We are encouraging all undergraduates who have made strides in research to take this opportunity to participate in our poster forum. Those not currently engaged in research are also invited to attend to learn more about the field of neuroscience and to attend valuable breakout sessions for students aimed at professional development, including a graduate and professional school fair.
mGluRs will also feature breakout sessions for faculty, providing ample opportunities for interacting with colleagues from universities around the Midwest who are committed to undergraduate education and participation in research. Breakouts will focus on issues unique to the instruction and advising of undergraduate neuroscientists but will also allow for casual conversation and networking.
Please visit our website to learn more about the event (including abstract submission information, registration, and the tentative program) and feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you on October 3rd!
