The Multidisciplinary Design Program has brought the real world to campus.

The following Sponsored Design projects are actively recruiting students with skills in Biology!

Racer Trust: Wetlands Development at Willow Run

Faculty Sponsor: Gail Hohner

Building a Sustainable Wetland Environment on Decommissioned Willow Run Airport
This project is a joint venture between the Ford School of Public Policy, College of Engineering, Racer Trust, Ypsilanti Township, and many other key groups. 

If accepted, students must enroll for credit in order to be on the project team. The project starts in Winter 2014 and ends in Fall 2014.  All students must stay on the project for the full year to see it through to completion.
Two semesters required, and 3-4 cr hours per semester.

Intelligent Model of Eye Simulator: Research Team

Intelligent Model of Eye Simulator: For Safely Training Ophthalmologists
If accepted, students must enroll for credit in order to be on the project team.  The roject starts in Winter 2014 and ends in Fall 2014.  All students must stay on the project for at least one full year to see it through to completion. Two semester minimum, and 1-4 cr hours per semester.

Students are not required to work on their project during the summer, though Summer Research Stipends are available based on application, and summer internships may be available through the industry projects.

Student Teams will be announced beginning November 4th.

Students may apply for as many projects as they feel qualified for.
