Founded as a modest program in 1973, Women’s and Gender Studies has since become one of the foremost hubs of feminist scholarship and activism in the world. Our department provides students with a critical, interdisciplinary education in which they engage with issues of gender, sexuality, race, class, and disability. Students collaborate closely with our renowned faculty, and learn beyond the classroom by participating in real-world activism and practicum.
