I research human sexual attitudes and behavior in the Stigmatized Sexualities Lab with Dr. Terri Conley. Currently, I am involved in four projects:
Understanding what factors contribute to women's orgasms (and thus the orgasm gap).
Examining sexual satisfaction in monogamous and consensually non-monogamous relationships.
Qualifying how cheating statistics are gathered by exploring the role of opportunity.
Writing a book chapter for The New Psychology of Love exploring the how psychologists understand love and sex are influenced by politics and society at large.
Soon I will be launching a new line of research on sexual communication!
Overall, my research has three goals:
Enhance positive attitudes around sex, which in turn will help promote sexual literacy.
Understand societal messages and how they set parameters and constraints around people's sexuality.
Understand individual differences underpinning sexuality by considering people’s social context and identities.
