You’ve been there. You were once an LSA student trying to figure out your next steps. Chances are, there was at least one person who lent an ear, gave advice, or opened doors for you. There are a number of ways you can support LSA students through the Opportunity Hub. Whether you engage online, on campus, or on site, for an hour or for an afternoon, students jump at the chance to hear from alumni and your words will resonate with them. From events to internships to mentorship, you can create opportunities for students to make connections between liberal arts, the workplace, and the world.
How will you get involved? Look into the different options below.
Fund a Student’s Internship
Your support allows every LSA student the ability to pursue life-changing professional opportunities where they can apply what they've learned to real-world experiences. Last year, the LSA Opportunity Hub awarded over $1 million in scholarships to support student internship experiences. As paid internships will be increasingly difficult to find during the COVID-19 crisis, a gift to this fund truly makes a difference. A gift of $3,500 supports a student working locally for a summer. Increasing your impact to $5,000 would support a student who needs to travel for their work, and a gift of $25,000 could fund internships for five LSA students.
