The Premodern Colloquium presents Andrew Devereux (Department of History, University of California-San Diego). The discussion will focus on Andrew's paper "Tropical Africa in Premodern European Thought", which explores Iberian ideas about sub-saharan Africa ranging from the fourteenth through the seventeenth centuries.
