Intellectual Property Information

When you deposit your senior thesis in the University’s Deep Blue archive, it will become a permanent part of the University’s intellectual legacy. Deep Blue makes these works accessible to the scholarly community for the long term, providing a single, permanent URL for reference. Unlike most scholarly publishing, placing your thesis in Deep Blue involves no transfer of intellectual property rights. You can, and should read the Deep Blue intellectual property policy:

This short author’s agreement asks you to warrant that your work is original and does not, to the best of your knowledge, infringe or violate the rights of others. For most theses, this should be simple and clear. If your thesis includes images or other material which might be subject to copyright protection, you should begin by discussing the issue with your thesis advisor. If questions emerge, we encourage you to contact the University Copyright Office (copyright@umich.edu). Please feel free to consult with the Honors program as well.

Instructions:

1. Read the Intellectual Property Information statements (above) and, if necessary, obtain proper permissions before continuing.
2. Save a PDF version of your thesis, named with just your uniqname (e.g. uniqname.pdf)
3. Click on the Honors Thesis Submission Form link, fill out, and submit the form. You will be prompted, after submission, with a link to upload your thesis.
