The Department of Communication and Media offers many kinds of events, most free and open to the public. We organize and sponsor numerous lectures, workshops and conferences over the course of the academic year. Our programming covers a wide range of topics and features presenters from diverse disciplines and is designed to foster an understanding of the mass media and emerging media.

Noah Simon is a global music agent for leading talent and entertainment company UTA. Based in New York City, Simon plans and executes live touring strategies across worldwide markets for a diverse roster of hip-hop, R&B, soul, funk, jazz and pop clients. He spearheads tours for Jacob Collier, Jamiroquai, Young Thug, Masego, Tierra Whack among many others. He also co-leads International touring for Post Malone, Chance the Rapper, Bad Bunny and Ms. Lauryn Hill. Simon began his career in the mailroom at WME before becoming an agent at The Agency Group, which UTA acquired in 2015. He is passionate about Artist development and takes a creative hands-on role in establishing the foundations for young artists to build prosperous careers. Simon also founded the Soho House NY Music Club and sits on the steering committee for the Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
