Welcome, LSA Class of 2027!

We are so excited you are here at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan! We hope that the next four years bring incredible opportunities and help you forge life-long friendships.

The LSA Scholarships Office typically invites first-year LSA Scholars to a big welcome party at the start of the academic year to answer your questions and connect you with lots of resources to help you achieve your best at Michigan. This year, we wanted to do our part to reduce the number of large gatherings happening on campus. That's why we've created this dedicated online space just for you! We designed it to serve as a place for connection and exploration, all within a safe, online environment.

Before digging into all the resources available on this page—and we hope that you will—be sure to watch Dean Curzan's welcome address. Her video speech is full of sage advice about cultivating personal, academic, and professional success. She also provides crucial reminders to build spaces for rest, play, and joy into your daily life.

Again, we are so excited that you are here. If you have any questions, or would like to connect with the LSA Scholarships team, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email or schedule an appointment

A Welcome Message from Dean Anne Curzan
