Career Path
Previously I worked as the Achievement and Behavior Support Specialist at an NHA charter school in Ypsilanti, where I got to work directly with elementary and middle school students and support them academically and emotionally. I loved this work, but ultimately missed working with college students like I had previously done as a Graduate Assistant/Career Coach at Loyola University New Orleans. I have always known I wanted to work with people and was attending Loyola University to earn my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. It didn’t take me long to realize, though, that this was not the career path for me. Thanks to the Career Development Center and my supportive coworkers and professors I was able to find my ABSS position up in Michigan and start fresh. This position allowed me to utilize my B.A. in psychology from Bowling Green State University in a hands-on way and help me gain some more insight into my long-term career goals. After that, I was so excited to find my current position at the University of Michigan where I get to work with psychology students and help them achieve their academic and career goals!
