Psychology Methods Hour: Dyadic methods and analysis: What we know and what we need to figure out

Dr. Amie Gordon, Assistant Professor Psychology

Abstract:
Researching dyads provides both opportunities and difficulties. In this talk, I'll discuss the methodological opportunities that come with studying how two people interact and influence each other, as well as the analytical problems that arise when dealing with their non-independence. I'll cover issues such as distinguishable versus indistinguishable dyads, cross-sectional versus longitudinal models, and analysis in MLM versus SEM.
