About
Jade is a Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of Michigan. He studies endorsement behavior in primary election contexts - especially presidential primaries in the United States. However, his research interests cover a broad range of subjects under the umbrella of American Politics including strategic campaign behavior, religion and politics, public opinion, political geography, and both elite and mass political behavior. He is comfortable with a broad set of methodological tools for answering research questions, but has particular experience with survey research including as an employee of the American National Election Study (ANES) from January 2020 to the present.
Prior to coming to Michigan, he worked at Y2 Analytics, a survey research and data analytics firm based out of Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked for political, corporate, and governmental clients. Here, he gained a great deal of experience working with survey data and is comfortable taking survey work from inception to completion.
