LSA juniors and seniors interested in preparing themselves for post-college goals—whether full-time jobs, grad school, or other pursuits—are encouraged to explore ALA 325: Putting Your Education To Work, a one-credit Applied Liberal Arts course offered this semester.

The course is structured so that students prioritize and progress toward individual goals. Sessions include creating a search strategy for jobs, mentors, and funding, as well as producing application materials, among other projects.

At the heart of ALA 325is developing fluency in articulating the value of the LSA degree. At the end of the course, students will be able to articulate nuanced answers to the question, “How has your college experience prepared you for your career?”
