Supervisor, LSA Academic Auditors
About
What was your path to Newnan? I was originally hired as the Office Manager for the Advising Center in 1998. Ten years later, I was hired to manage the Academic Auditing Office. I've been a mid-level manager for almost 30 years, and continue to enjoy the combination of big-picture planning with nitty-gritty work. Before I came to U-M, I was managing family planning clinics, mostly in California.
What do you enjoy about working in Newnan? I feel very fortunate to have found my way into this job. It's a wonderful work environment, and I get to work with a great group of people, both within Student Academic Affairs and across the campus.
Subject you love and why? Must I choose one? I couldn't even decide when I was a student, which is one of the reasons I ended up with a BGS. But if I were to return to school at this point I'd probably start with a couple anthropology classes because I'd like to learn more about human behavior from an evolutionary perspective.
Interests and hobbies: Kayaking, cribbage, reading, watching movies, learning the ukulele, and brushing my four ever-shedding pets.
