Granada is known for its unique historic, artistic, and cultural heritage. Surrounded by the Alpujarras mountain range and only 2 hours from the coast, the relaxed lifestyle of this small, urban environment makes Granada the perfect place to live and study. Students will learn from a U-M Spanish instructor and receive 8 credits to complete the LSA language requirement. This Spanish 230 program is very intensive— both Spanish 231/232 combined into just 6 weeks. Students complement coursework with excursions to help them learn more about Spanish culture. Explore the most famous bullfighting ring in the world during an excursion to Sevilla or relax at the Plaza de España, one of Sevilla’s most popular spots. Living with a host family will help students improve their language skills. This course is taught and led by U-M Lecturers Susanna Coll-Ramirez and Stephanie Goetz.
