In this program designed to inspire students to become global citizens, students will earn 6 credits in 4 weeks as part of an international consortium of students and will gain insight into South African history, politics, social justice, and entrepreneurship. The backdrop for this immersive experience is Cape Town, one of the world’s most diverse and multicultural cities. Students will gain a more nuanced understanding of current African contexts, and will study both the opportunities and challenges of political and cultural transformation. Students will gain perspective on the intersecting pressures of society that make social justice difficult to achieve, and explore social entrepreneurship as a solution to these issues.
