If you transferred to U-M from a college or university outside the U-M system, you can apply to many CGIS programs using your transfer GPA but must provide CGIS with a U-M transcript from your first semester at U-M and must meet all other program requirements.

Students must be in good academic standing. Failure to meet this requirement may result in withdrawal from the program and financial penalties.

Please note: Students applying to an exchange/visiting program must have U-M GPA at the time of application. Students who have not yet completed any course work at UM-Ann Arbor would not be eligible to apply to these exchange/visiting programs.

However, if you have questions about your eligibility for a program as transfer students and/or your intended program doesn’t align with these suggestions, please consult with your CGIS Advisor.
